one-pot or one-pan meals that are quick to prepare, use canned, instant or non-perishable ingredients, and of course do not need chilling

NOTE - If a hurricane hits your area, your power will most likely be out for days or weeks, and your cable/phone may be out of service for even longer, so save these pages to your hard disk and print them out well before the hurricane. Computerised files do you no good at all if you can't turn on the machine to access them.

 

Breakfast Scramble

Chop the potato and onion into small pieces (the smaller you chop them the faster they will cook.) Fry them in a pan for about ten minutes and add the pepperoni, corn and tomatos. Beat the eggs in a bowl with the cheese. Pour the egg into the frypan and stir until it is cooked. This doesn't look like the most delicious meal, but it's very good...

Frypan Toast

(make this before the breakfast scramble and you can use the same pan)

2 slices bread per person, spread with margerine on both sides.

Lay the bread in a hot frypan and toast for about two minutes (until the margerine on top starts to melt) then flip. The toast is done when it's golden...

Fried Egg Rings

Butter each slice of bread on both sides and cut a round hole in the center. Lay the bread in the frypan and break an egg into each slice.
